Travel Kids Bingo: A Game for Road Trips

On our long trip (2.5 hours) home last weekend from my parents, my daughter came up with a searching game where she made a list of things she had to spot along the way. Once she found them all, she “won.” The catch was she had to get them all before we pulled into the driveway. I was honestly impressed by her initiative—because let’s be real, usually these rides come with at least some whining and “how much longer?” questions.

She even got her brother in on it by having him make his own list, and before I knew it, they had turned it into a little competition. When we got home, I thought, wait a second—I’m a designer. I could turn this into something fun for other families. A straight list works, sure, but bingo felt way more engaging.
So I designed a printable version you can grab here: 👉 [Click here to buy the template now].
It’s simple: one 8.5x11 page that you just cut in half, which gives you two bingo cards (print two copies and you’ve got four cards total). Hand them out with a crayon, pen, or pencil, and the kids are set.

We’ve used it in the car, but it would work just as well on a train, plane, or even a boat. And since my kids get carsick with iPads, I’m always looking for screen-free ways to pass the time. This one has definitely earned a spot in our travel bag, and maybe yours, too?
